Juliana Johari

Cik Juliana binti Johari graduated from Kulliyah of Ahmad Ibrahim (AIKOL) of International Islamic University with LLB (Hons) in 2006.

Thereafter, she joined Messrs. Arthur Lee Lin Advocates in Kuching, Sarawak to do her pupillage for twelve (12) months. During her pupillage she was exposed to various matters especially in general litigation. She assisted her Master, Mr. Arthur Lee Cheng Chuan, managing partner of the firm in handling trial matters especially in goods sold delivered cases, construction, running down, breach of contract, winding-up and industrial relations representing the Company and/or individual. She was admitted as an Advocate of High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in January 2008 and retained as Legal Assistant in Messrs. Arthur Lee Lin & Co. Advocates until January 2012.

She has been elected as a committee members of the Advocates Association of Sabah & Sarawak (AAS of Kuching Branch) for the year of 2010-2012 as the only lady in the said committee for that particular year and was actively involved with all the events including the Bar Games which was held in Miri, Sarawak in 2008 and Tripartite Games which was held in Penang in 2010 and other related events which were organised by the said AAS.

In April 2012, she pursued her study for Master Degree (LLM) in Business Law at Harun Hashim Law Centre of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Gombak as a full-time student.

While pursuing her Master as a full-time student, she went to do her pupillage at Messrs Wan Ewe Chong & Khoo at Wisma UOA Bangsar for three (3) months commencing October 2012 until January 2013 since she has been exempted for six (6) months as she was a legal practitioner for six (6) years in Kuching, Sarawak. During the short period of pupillage, she was exposed and taught by her Master, Mr. Khoo Ewe Khong to do conveyancing in relation to sale & purchase agreement, tenancy agreement, sub-sale and loan matters.

At the same time, she also completed her Legal Aid which required her to instil free advice to and assist the public in general and passed her Ethics Exam which was a compulsory requirement in order to obtain the practising certificate from High Court of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur.

After completing her pupillage, she joined Messrs Rabinder Budiman & Associates in April 2013 and she was called to the Bar in High Court of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur on 5th July 2013 and completed her Master by the end of the same month.

In Messrs Rabinder Budiman & Associates, she was assisting the Managing Partner, Dato’ Rabinder Singh in the said firm in general litigation including criminal matters which involved illegal immigrants, charges which fall under Penal Code, possession of drugs under Dangerous Drugs Act, insider trading which falls under Capital Market Services Act (CMSA), a recently amended Prevention Crime Act (1959), bail, remand, plea bargain applications and preparation of the representations to the Attorney General Chambers (AGC) and Securities Commission.

She joined ARSA in May 2014 and is currently attached to ARSA Litigation Practice Group.

Nurazwa Abd Rashid

Nurazwa Binti Abd Rashid graduated with Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) in 2013. Upon graduation, Nurazwa continued reading in the chambers of Miss Amy Too Siew Mooi at Messrs Shukor Baljit & Partners.

Throughout her pupillage period, she was exposed to various areas of the law mainly in Civil Litigation, Criminal Litigation and Conveyancing. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in November 2014.

Nurazwa joined ARSA in December 2014 and is currently attached to the Financial Services Department. Since she started practice, Nurazwa has had experience in preparing and drafting various types of conveyancing documents including sale and purchase of commercial projects and several sub-sale matters. Her experience ranges from conveyancing transactions to retail and corporate banking matters (both for Islamic and Conventional).  She has since advanced in her practice area and it now includes undertaking due diligence exercises and corporate advisory works for local corporate clients.

Haajar Mohd Puad

Puan Haajar Binti Mohd Puad graduated from Faculty of Law, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam with Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons) in 2013 and Bachelor of Law (L.L.B) (Hons) in 2014 from the same university.

In April 2014, She underwent her pupilage by reading in chambers of Puan Balkis Binti Ya’akup at Messrs Abdul Raman Saad & Associates Melaka. Throughout her pupillage period, she was exposed to the vast areas of law, particularly in Conveyancing and Banking. She then was admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an advocate and solicitor on 12th February 2015 at the High Court of Malaya in Melaka.

Starting March 2015, She joined ARSA and is currently attached to Banking and Conveyancing Department of Melaka office. Since then, she has been in charge with various conveyancing matters including advising and drafting the sale and purchase agreement for sub-sales transactions between individual and individual, housing development projects including PR1MA Homes and Rumah Mesra Rakyat 1Malaysia (RMR1M) by SPNB, transfer of ownership, tenancy, and Discharge of Charge.

Shazwani Jalil

Shazwani Jalil graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Multimedia University in 2010. She commenced her pupillage at Azmi & Associates and was called to the Bar on 13 June 2011. Thereafter, at the same firm, she was attached to the Corporate and Commercial practice group, where she was involved in undertaking due diligence, business and share acquisitions, and advisory work. Subsequently, she joined the legal department of SapuraAcergy Sdn Bhd and Taliworks Corporation Berhad to gain exposure on commercial side.

In 2013, she pursued her Masters in Law at University College London, United Kingdom, specializing in Corporate Law. Upon graduating with a Merit, she joined ARSA in February, 2015 as an Associate in the Biotechnology, Intellectual Property, Technology and Telecommunications (BITT) Department.

She has experience in advising a range of clients in the areas of corporate and commercial, telecommunications, and data protection laws.

Aziah Ali

Cik Aziah Binti Ali graduated from faculty of Law, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Shah Alam with Bachelor of Legal Studies in 2011 and later, Bachelor of Law (LLB Hons) in 2012 from the same university.

Aziah read in the chambers of Dato’ Hj Mohd Aisom Bin Omr at Messrs Omar Ismail Hazman & Co., Johor Bahru from March 2012 to March 2013. During her pupilage she was mainly exposed in the area of conveyancing.

On 8th March 2013, she was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor in the High Court of Malaya. She started her practice as a Legal Assistant at Messrs Omar Ismail Hazman & Co. from March 2013 to February 2016.

She joined Messrs Abdul Raman Saad & Associates on 15th March 2016 as a Legal Associate and is currently with the Banking and Conveyancing Department at Johor Bahru office.

Puteri Liyana Mardhiah

Cik Puteri Liyana Mardhiah Binti M. Al-Muz-Zammil is a graduate from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam, Faculty of Law and has obtained both a Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons) in 2014 and a Bachelor of Law (LL.B Hons) in 2015 from the same university.

Puteri had the privilege of reading in the chambers of our ex-vastly experienced corporate lawyer, Puan Nurul ‘Akhmar Binti Mohd Shafiee, at Messrs Abdul Raman Saad & Associates Johor Bahru (ARSA Lawyers) beginning 7 April 2015. After completing her pupillage on the 7 January 2016, Puteri was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in the High Court of Malaya on the 28 February 2016.

Throughout her pupilage, she was exposed to multiple areas of law, including Banking and Conveyancing, Civil Litigation, and also, mainly, Corporate matters.

She commenced her legal practice at ARSA Lawyers in March 2016 and is currently with the Banking and Conveyancing Department of Johor Bahru office.

Mohamed Hafiz Hashim

Mohamed Hafiz Bin Hashim is a law graduate of the International Islamic University Malaysia with Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) in 2011 and further graduated in Bachelor of Laws (Syariah) (LL.B_S Hons) in 2012 at the same university.

Hafiz joined ARSA in 2013 as a pupil reading in the chambers of Cik Irma Norris Ishak at ARSA’s Johor Bahru office. In September 2014, he was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Malaya and decided to continue his professional practice at ARSA.

Currently attached with the Corporate Commercial Department, Johor Bahru, Hafiz has been exposed to various areas of laws such as conveyancing, retail, corporate banking and Islamic Finance. During his tenure with ARSA, he had and continuously has the opportunity to deal with ARSA’s top corporate clients in several banking and financing transactions. In recent event, Hafiz managed to get himself involved in assisting several high-profile corporate commercial matters especially in the collaboration and development of land for industrial purposes in Johor’s oil & gas sector.

Mohammad Muzammil Mohammad Hairiri

Mohammad Muzammil Bin Mohammad Hairiri graduated from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam, Selangor. He received his Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons) in 2015 and Bachelor of Law (LL.B Hons) in 2016 from the same university under full scholarship from Yayasan Tun Suffian, in memory of the former Lord President of the Federal Court of Malaysia and Chief Justice of Malaya.

Upon graduation, he commenced his pupilage at Messrs Abdul Raman Saad & Associates, Johor Bahru in the chamber of our senior associate, Puan Rohana Binti Ngah. Upon completion of his pupilage, Mohammad Muzammil Bin Mohammad Hairiri was then admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya and subsequently joined Abdul Raman Saad & Associates, Johor Bahru as an Associate.

His area of practice includes banking, commercial and construction disputes resolutions. He also assisted in advisory and drafting work in relation to company law issues, industrial relations & employment law issues, enforcement of judgment and land dispute claims.

In April 2017, Mohammad Muzammil Bin Mohammad Hairiri was selected as a Visiting Fellow at the John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois. He is currently a member of the Asian International Arbitration Centre Young Practitioners Group (AIAC-YPG) and the Young Singapore International Arbitration Centre Group (YSIAC). He also serves as a member of the Johore Bar Human Rights Committee.

Suraya Hani Salim

Suraya Hani Binti Salim graduated with Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons) in 2013 and Bachelor of Laws [LLB (Hons)] in 2014 from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UITM).

She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor in August 2014. She handled various matters relating to conveyancing transactions including advising and drafting the sale and purchase agreement for housing development projects and commercial projects, sub-sales between individual and companies, transfer of ownership, tenancy, and perfection of transfer. She also handled retail and commercial financing facilities and security documentation including conventional and Islamic financing facilities.

She joined ARSA in January 2018 and currently attached to Conveyancing Department of Johor Bahru Office.

Shahrul Azwan Mohammad Shukri

Shahrul Azwan Bin Mohammad Shukri graduated with a Bachelor of Law from University of Malaya in 2016.

He read in the chambers of Mr. Mohd Zainuddin Bin Omar at Messrs Zainuddin & Associates where he was exposed to various areas of law, particularly Civil Litigation and Conveyancing.

Upon completing his pupillage, he was admitted and enrolled as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 6 October 2017.

He commenced his legal practice at ARSA Kuala Lumpur in November 2017 where he is attached to the Litigation Practice Group.

Nor Hidayah Salam

Nor Hidayah Binti Salam graduated with Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons.) from Universiti Utara Malaysia in 2011.

In August 2011, she underwent her pupilage by reading in chambers of Puan Balkis Binti Ya’akup at Messrs Abdul Raman Saad & Associates Melaka. Throughout her pupillage, she was exposed to vast areas of law, particularly Banking and Conveyancing. She was then admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an advocate and solicitor on 1st June 2012 at the High Court of Malaya in Melaka.

She started her practice as a Legal Assistant in 2013 at Messrs Abdul Aziz Rahim & Co Melaka mainly focusing on banking litigation till April 2018.

She joined ARSA in May 2018 and is currently attached to Litigation Department of Melaka office.
